While reading this article, I realized that this situation is extremely similar to the one that Ayn Rand wrote about in her classic “Atlas Shrugged.” In her book, the corrupt society rewards people who claim that they are toiling “for the greater good”, when in actuality, they are selfish parasites who are living off the productivity of the industrialists.
“You can’t let us go bankrupt, it just isn’t fair!”
