Intro to Computational Media Mid-Term Fall 2007

While the computer wave wins the accuracy contest, it gets thrown for a loop by the hand drawn wave. Not only is it cooler because it’s hand drawn, I think it’s more convincing visually. My eyes shift from positive to negative and then the waves snap and reverse depth. Real waves have lots of “noise” in them, caused by complex undercurrents and wind brushing their surface. My hand unintentionally drew in the noise. The computer is too perfect….. as usual.
