LED Light Bulb by Frog Design

This is a pretty awesome idea. As written on their site:
“In the end, we arrived at a concept that offers better energy efficiency than CFLs without the toxic mercury, provides a desirable light quality and dimming capability, and fits into the socket connection of the incandescent—all in a package that will last 30 years.”

I bought LED lights to replace my halogen MR16 bulbs the other day from a website called LEDinsider.com that I would recommend enthusiastically. They had good service (good phone and email support), great FAQs so I knew what I needed, and competitive prices; also, their shipping was fast and the LEDs were as good as advertised. http://www.LEDInsider.com. Excellent online shopping experience.

My favorite LED replacement lights are: the Pharox for the 40 watt old bulb; the 36 LED VIVID light for general illumination if you don’t mind seeing the lights (the Pharox has a frosted globe so the light is softer and glow). The VIVID is diffuse enough, but cooler.

I checked out http://www.ledinsider.com and the prices are good. You might want to go to http://www.eaglelight.com also. Their prices are very good too, maybe the best prices on the web. The VIVID is under $10 a bulb on Eaglelight.com

  3. light bulbs these days are getting replaced by compact fluorescents and LED based ones, original incandescent bulbs are power h ‘
