At the Nordic Pavilion in the Giardini, a dead writer floats in a pool. As the story goes, after he fails to convert his hedonistic life into a eloquent literary tail, he finds no way out but suicide. Nathalie Djurberg’s installation at the Giardini featured sensuously gross claymation videos with insanely corrupt themes. I was mesmerized.
